Strava - Log In and Log Out
MapRun6 uses Strava in two ways:
1. Uploading a run with MapRun6 or MapRunG to Strava:
- If you run with MapRun6 on your phone you can upload your track to Strava (see the menu when viewing your track)
- If you run with MapRunG on your watch, when you get your track from Garmin, you can also upload your result to Strava ....BUT you may already have the track uploaded via Garmin Connect... so, in that case, this would be a duplicate.
2. Retrieving a track from Strava that you have recorded on any GPS device so that you can use it for a result in a MapRun event. (ie MapRun "Any Track").
Strava Login
In either case, you will need to have given MapRun permission to access your Strava account to upload a track or to retrieve a track.
When you go to use features in MapRun that rely upon Strava for the first time, you will be prompted to login to your Strava account:

After logging in, you will be asked to authorise MapRun's use of your Strava account (see below).
If you don't see the screen above and go directly to the screen below, that is OK, as if you have already logged into Strava on this device before, it may remember your login details. This is only normally a problem, if you would like to change to using a different Strava account. In this case, use the browser on your device to go to the Strava Website, which you should find will open directly with you already logged in. Use the menu item on that web page to log out. Then when you go back to MapRun6, you will be prompted for a Strava account to login with.

Issues
In some rare cases there have been issues as follows:
- If you have used Strava in the MapRunF App, it is possible that you may need to delete MapRunF for Strava to work effectively in MapRun6
- If you have the Strava App install on your phone and have problems using Strava functions in MapRun6, it may be necessary to uninstall the Strava App and reinstall it. (This doesn't lose any data).
