Create MapRunLink QR Code

MapRun6 v6.3.6 introduced MapRunLinks allowing a link to be provided to open MapRun6 in a specific event.

The MapRunLink can also be provided as a QR Code (Quick Response Codes), so that when "scanned" with the camera in a phone, the link will be provided automatically.

QR Codes could be printed on maps or on a card at the start of a course.

Creating a QR Code:
  • QR codes can be prepared and downloaded from sites such as www.qrcode-tiger.com (as described here) or  https://www.qr-code-generator.com/

  • The code to be included in the programming of the QR Code is the MapRunLink that is displayed for your event in the MapRun Admin Console: Events > Display MapRunLink.
Following is a step-by-step process using www.qrcode-tiger.com

Note: The following steps produce a particular style/variant of a QR Code. Other styles, formats, variants, colours etc are possible.
