Android Beta Releases

Beta release of Android versions of MapRun6 are typically released via the Google Play Store, in what Google defines as "Internal Testing".

This requires, the user's email address to be added to a list associated with the particular Beta release. The email address needs to be the one the user uses as their login to the Google Play Store.

The beta releases are normally not automatically pushed to users, but require the user to either:
- open the Google Play Store app and look for an update to the MapRun6 App, or
- use a link directly to that App.

Some users have problems receiving updates. If you are advised of an update and it does not appear when you try to access it, try the following.

Clear the cache and data of the Google Play Store App using a sequence similar to the following (some versions/makes of phones have slight variances):

Apps > Settings > Apps > Application Manager > Google Play Store App > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data
